The Role:


Participatory Approaches Consultancy Services (PACS) is searching for an experienced and strategic HR Manager to work in Zimbabwe. You can be a perfect candidate if you are people-oriented, commercially minded, and passionate about building strong organisational cultures through effective human resources management. What we are looking for:


•     You have obtained an O' Level qualification and hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification or professional HR certification (e.g. IPMZ, CIPD, or equivalent) will be a distinct advantage.

•     You have a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in human resources, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.

•     You possess a thorough understanding of Zimbabwean labour law, employment regulations, and HR best practices.

•     You are proficient in HR information systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to produce accurate HR reports and analytics.

•     You demonstrate exceptional interpersonal, conflict resolution, and leadership skills, with the ability to engage confidently with staff at all levels of the organisation.

•     You are discreet, ethical, and capable of handling sensitive and confidential employee matters with the utmost professionalism.


Responsibilities:


•     You will develop, implement, and continuously review HR policies, procedures, and frameworks in alignment with organisational goals and Zimbabwean labour legislation.

•     You will lead the full recruitment cycle, including job analysis, advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.

•     You will design and oversee performance management systems, supporting managers in conducting objective and constructive performance appraisals.

•     You will identify organisational training and development needs and coordinate relevant learning programmes to build staff capacity and capability.

•     You will manage employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary proceedings, and dispute resolution, ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policy.

•     You will oversee payroll administration in collaboration with the finance department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all staff remuneration.

•     You will maintain comprehensive and up-to-date employee records, contracts, and HR documentation in full compliance with data protection requirements.

•     You will provide strategic HR advice and regular workforce reports to senior management to support informed decision-making on people matters.

•     You will foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture through proactive staff engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
