The Role:
Participatory Approaches Consultancy Services (PACS) is searching for a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to work in Zimbabwe. What we are looking for:
• You have obtained an O' Level qualification and hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
• You are proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or an equivalent platform.
• You possess strong Microsoft Excel skills and a solid understanding of local financial regulations and tax obligations.
• You are meticulous, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple financial responsibilities simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
• You will maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and journals in accordance with accepted accounting standards.
• You will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports for review by senior leadership.
• You will reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable in a timely and accurate manner.
• You will ensure full compliance with local tax obligations, financial regulations, and internal audit requirements.
• You will process payroll, expense claims, and supplier payments accurately and in accordance with agreed timelines.
• You will support budgeting and forecasting processes and provide financial analysis to assist management decision-making.
